During a recent tour of The Warehouse, I had the opportunity to also explore the new IKEA establishment situated within its premises. This newly opened IKEA store boasts an impressive size, standing nearly 25% larger than its counterpart at The Avenues (26,000m² compared to 21,000m²). Undoubtedly, it has secured its position as one of the largest IKEA stores in the entire region, and this grandeur is immediately apparent upon stepping inside.
What truly struck me while traversing the store was the generous amount of space allocated to the display areas. Even though The Avenues location is by no means small, the new IKEA’s expanded dimensions create an environment that feels anything but cramped. This augmented space has significant implications, particularly in its ability to showcase the complete spectrum of IKEA’s product range. A prime example is the furniture section—instead of encountering a singular couch design in limited sizes and colors, the new store provides ample room to feature a comprehensive assortment. Now, variations in size and color are exhibited, unveiling the entire gamut of options. I found myself discovering products that I presumed were new, only to learn that they had been part of IKEA’s collection for years, either unnoticed or absent from display. This phenomenon extended to the home appliances section, where I uncovered a range of offerings that I never knew IKEA provided—ovens and fridges for sale. The impact of the larger store on their product presentation is indeed remarkable; it allows each item to shine with unparalleled clarity.
The store is thoughtfully divided across two levels, mirroring the layout of The Avenues location and maintaining a similar flow. Among the most notable transformations is the expansive restaurant space. Beyond the standard food pickup area, the restaurant now houses a permanent buffet section, adding to its allure. Moreover, for the convenience of shoppers and mall-goers alike, a seamlessly accessible coffee shop is integrated directly into the mall area. The lower floor is home to the bakery and food market, both of which have also experienced a significant expansion in line with the store’s overall enhancement.
If you’re eager to experience the new IKEA wonder, it is open for exploration starting today at The Warehouse. Operating hours extend from 9 AM to 11 PM daily, inviting you to discover the breadth of offerings in this expansive space. For precise location information, consult their entry on Google Maps and set out to immerse yourself in the world of IKEA’s newfound magnificence.
